Cybersmart- Quality Replies

Today Koka Maria came into our class and talked to us about quality blog replies.  We filled out a google slide with some questions on it. We also looked at some other people blogs to see how they replied to comments. This is the slide I was given to fill out.

Water Worries.

This week we are reading about Water Worries. We will be completing a task about it as well. We are making a slideshare that we will present to our buddy class at the end of the week. My slideshare is about the Water Cycle and how it works. It's not quite finished yet so I won't show it, but when it is I will definitely share it. I can't wait to show it. 👍

Book Review. The Floods- The Great Outdoors.

A few weeks ago we started a book review. I read the book the Floods- The Great Outdoors. It was a really great book and I enjoyed reading it. I can't explain to much because the review will do the rest.
I hope you enjoy it! 😄
Don't forget to comment some feedback or feedforward as well!

Sun, Wind and Rain.

Yesterday for reading I learnt about the weather and how to tell if there is a storm coming.
I learnt about different types of clouds and made a poster on google drawing about the clouds.
Did you know if you see a halo around the sun it means there might be a storm headed your way.
This halo appears when the cirrus clouds that surround the sun become cold. The clouds start to grow tiny ice crystals inside of them and when the sun shines on the crystals it reflects and shows itself as a sun halo.(a ring around the sun)  Here is the poster I made about the cirrus clouds and cirrocumulus clouds. Please comment if you have any questions.

The Explorer - Reading Wheel.

This week in room 1 we made reading wheels. We had to use our maths skills of rotation to figure out where the midpoint is, the diameter and radius and then we had an extra task to write about a full rotation (360°) a quarter turn (90°). Did you know that a 90 degree turn is also called a right angle? If you can't see what the maths on the circle says, I'll write it so you can understand.
Radius:  The radius is a straight line from the center to the edge of a circle.
Diameter: The diameter is any straight line going from one side of a circle to the other side.
On each sector we had to write or draw something about the book we were reading. I've been reading the Explorer by Katherine Rundell. On sector 1,3 and 5 we used illustrations on sector 2, 4 and 6 we wrote about our book. I hope you enjoy my photos of my wheel. Please leave a comment, if you like my work!
